Round-the-world balloonist looks to solar power for next challenge
Bertrand Piccard, pilot of the first balloon to fly nonstop around the world, announced Friday that he has a new goal: to complete the same exploit in a solar-powered plane.

A personal quest to promote the use of wind energy and hydrogen technology in the Great Lakes area of the United States. The Great Lakes area is in a unique position to become an energy exporting region through these and other renewable energy technologies.
Where to begin...educated at multiple elementary grade & high schools, US Air Force veteran 17-19 years old. (Peacetime) Drove my teachers crazy in grade school and couldn't keep funding college. Lived in several different areas of the US, Wisconsin - Southern half, Texas, Colorado, Nebraska, Mississippi, Florida, Illinois. The main part of high school was in Madison, WI in the late 1970's, so I might as well be from another planet to most people. I love all forms of art and technology and nature. When the three are finally in harmony, Mankind will achieve paradise on Earth - if we don't burn it to a crisp first through collective partial insanity.
